Tennessee Bloggers

Posted Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 by admin

Over the past few weeks, I had the privilege to meet with over 100 of our state’s conservative bloggers and activists in Knoxville, Nashville and Jackson. These forums provided an excellent opportunity to have an up close dialogue with these true patriots.

During America’s revolution, Thomas Paine wrote the powerful pamphlet, Common Sense. Paine was a pioneer in a new style in political writing.

Centuries later, these bloggers continue Paine’s tradition. They represent real voices, real lives and true Democracy in action. I’m impressed by their thoughtfulness and by their activism.

Thanks to the Tennessee ConserVOLiance and Ken Marrero for setting up these forums. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone and look forward continuing this active dialogue with them, and all Tennesseans, throughout this campaign and during my service as Governor.

The hundreds of Tennesseans who have written or called remind us that there are many things more important than politics. God bless you all.
